Dear Glen Ellyn Covenant Church Family,

We are so grateful for the way this church has so faithfully served our family through many, many years. You have been a source of God’s presence in our lives as we have learned what it means to follow Him….Thank you to Pastor Jeff and all the others who blessed us as we celebrated Kaye’s life and her home-going.

With love and appreciation,

Eric and Cari Filkin

Come enjoy New Nepali International Church’s Christmas program on December 10!

Glen Ellyn Covenant Family,

Our sister congregation, New Nepali International Church, has invited us to join them for their upcoming Christmas caroling program on December 10 2022, from 10am-3pm, in the sanctuary.  There will be a short Christmas message, singing, dancing, and lunch.  Let’s come together and rejoice in the birth our Savior, Jesus!  If you have any questions, please Darren Miller or the church office.

MISSIONS FOCUS

Missions Focus

Special Advent Giving Opportunities

The Missions Committee is aware of a few unique needs among people being served by three of our missions partners. Beginning today we will highlight one per week.

Tarcisio, in Zimbabwe, will lead a National Children’s Camp in early December for which scholarships for some children would be very helpful. Initial response to the camp was tremendous, with more than 5,000 campers possible. The theme of the camp is “New Life with Jesus.” The camp budget is $20,000. Twenty dollars could help sponsor one child’s week at the camp, which will take place on property generously made available by a family for the event. In October Tarcisio trained leaders from 100 – 150 local churches who will help with the upcoming camp. A video report is here. Afterwards the leaders will engage in children’s ministries at local churches. To contribute to this special opportunity access this Giving Page.

In the next two weeks we will focus on other specific needs brought to our attention by Julius and Heleen in Belgium and Carl and Karen in Thailand.

As you plan your benevolent Christmas giving you might consider these opportunities. Please contact Darren Miller and the Missions Committee with any questions.

Missionary Christmas Letters

Christmas letters for sending greetings to our missionaries are available on a table in the atrium through Sunday, Dec. 11.

Urbana Student Missions Conference

If you are interested in the Urbana Missions Conference please contact Pastor Jeff or Darren Miller (missions@gecovenant.org).
