Summer Sermon Series

What Difference does the Holy Spirit Make

In the Life of a Believer

In the Life of the Church

Dear Church,

We are nearing the end of our Summer Sermon Series on the Holy Spirit. This Sunday, we turn to the Old Testament and the work of the Holy Spirit in creation, connecting Genesis with the gospel of John.

At creation, the Triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) breathes life into all creation. In John’s gospel, Jesus breathes new life and purpose, through the Holy Spirit, upon His disciples so that they can carry on His mission for the Kingdom of God.

We hope you can join us in church this Sunday!  May the Lord bless and keep you, Pastor Dawn

Front Door Ministry

If you are interested in helping out at church, below are our essential hospitality roles:

Usher, Coffee Host, Door Greeter, and Connector.

The connector role is important this Fall as new families visit, college students return, and we just generally see larger attendance. With the door greeter and usher stationed at particular spots, the connector has the flexibility to walk a new family to the nursery, assist with name tags, or answer questions about the church.

“So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.  For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”  Luke 11:9-10

Missions Focus

Children's Camps in Zimbabwe Next Week

Now that 193 church district leaders have been trained to conduct the children’s camps and Sunday School and other follow up, we turn our attention to praying for all aspects of the camps. Nearly 12,000 children are expected to attend. The camps will take place in each of 15 different church districts Aug. 19 – 23 and are vital for reaching children in the remotest parts of the country. The camps are part of the children’s ministry of our missions partner in Zimbabwe—Tarcisio Magurupira, with Firm Foundation.
